easy parking working wifi equipped kitchen
I stayed in the Cottage Garden View for three nights. The parking on the drive outside the cottage was easy. The TV and WiFi worked very well. The kitchen included many pots and pans. A dishwasher and a washing machine were there too.
The walls were thin. I could hear other guests.

Really good Stay in a Charming Cottage
ample space natural light powerful shower oat-based options
The Ryedale suite offered ample space and natural light, thanks to dual-aspect windows. The shower was powerful. Breakfast included granola, yoghurt, and berries. Wholemeal toast was available. I appreciated that the host accommodated dietary requests with oat-based options.
The wifi signal was surprisingly weak in certain areas of the cottage, though not a huge issue

The host was helpful from arrival, even offering a cottage instead of a room. Amanda booked us into a local pub for dinner, very nice. Nothing seemed like too much trouble.

The location allowed easy walks to the train stationwith quick access to York. The hotel is conveniently close to a racetrack AND the surrounding fields contained horses and donkeys.

The cottage included a very very comfy and tidy space with a private entrance. Grounds are kept beautifully and parking is ample. The horses and donkeys loved being stroked, so it was VERY fun.

I stayed in the Standard Double Room. The location was convenient for exploring the nearby areas and it was close to the rail station. The room had ample storage and a desk. The breakfast selection included many options.
My room faced the street, and I heard some noise at night. The walls are thin! The bed was not very comfortable. It was too firm for my liking. I did not sleep well.

Fantastic Stay Near York
quiet location railway station clean cottage
The location is quiet. It is also near the railway station for services into York. The cottage was clean, tidy, and well-appointed. I really liked the direct access to my room, it didn't disturb anyone in the main house.
The bed was quite hard. I did not sleep very well.
Facilities

The house has excellent accommodations. Beds are comfy and the decor is top quality. The bathroom has a very good shower and good towels are provided. A complimentary coffee and tea tray is also included.

10/10
The host was very cute and helpful. Amanda cooked excellent breakfasts. She also provided good recommendations for local dinner spots. I really enjoyed chatting with Amanda as she served us.
Location

The location is convenient for seeing York, the Dales, and the Moors National Parks. The immediate area is also peaceful. It is a therapeutic break for anyone needing to escape the city.
